May a Christian woman
dress to be attractive?

Godly women in the Bible were beautiful to look upon, which proves they did not neglect their appearance. Sarah was a specific example of a holy woman that met the standards of the apostles (I Pet 3:5-6). She was very beautiful to look upon, which means that her clothing and hair in public were done nicely, not neglectful (Gen 12:11,14). There is no virtue in dressing frumpy or shabby. The virtuous woman dressed very well (Pr 31:22), and so did Ruth (Ruth 3:3).
